The backyard pizza kitchen where Pizzaiologist started

IT ALL STARTED
IN MY BACKYARD.

My name is Yasser — known as the Pizzaiologist.

I decided to build a wood-fired pizza oven. Not a kit, not because I had any professional experience, and definitely not because I knew what I was doing. I just loved pizza.

So I started experimenting. I built the oven, played with dough, learned about fire, temperature, flour, fermentation — and made a lot of terrible pizzas along the way.

There is something about an oven that brings people together. You make the dough together, everyone gathers around, and someone pulls that first pizza out. Suddenly people are laughing. Conversations start. Strangers share food.

That was the part I really fell in love with. It wasn't just pizza. It was what happened around the pizza.

Very early in this journey, I got incredibly lucky. I met Justin and Kimberly — two of the most sincere, genuine and beautiful people I've ever met.

What started as a shared passion turned into a friendship, then a partnership, and eventually something much more meaningful. They became my co-founders, my friends, and honestly, family.

Then life happened. Now we're back.

We put Pizzaiologist on hold for a couple of years, but the passion, the friendship and that feeling there was something special here never left.

So we're bringing it back two ways: real pizzerias opening their kitchens so anyone can make pizza at a real oven, and our own oven, so you can keep making it at home.

It started with an oven. It became an obsession. It brought three people together. And this time, we're bringing you along.

None whatsoever. Sessions are designed for complete beginners and enthusiasts alike. Your host walks you through everything step by step — all you need to bring is appetite and curiosity.

Absolutely — kids are some of the best pizzaiolos in the room. We recommend ages 5 and up. Children under 12 should be accompanied by a paying adult.

Everything: all ingredients, equipment, 2 hours of hands-on instruction, and of course — you eat what you make. No hidden extras.

At partner pizzerias. Each session in the app shows its pizzeria and area, and the exact address comes in your booking confirmation email.

Cancel in the app more than 48 hours before your session for a full refund. Within 48 hours, or if you don't show up, we can't offer a refund.

Yes — choose how many seats you need when you book. Every session in the app shows how many seats are left.

Yes. The Pizzaiologist app is coming to the App Store and Google Play. Until then, it runs right in your browser at app.pizzaiologist.com — same bookings, same account.

Create an account in the Pizzaiologist app and apply to list your pizzeria. The first 10 pizzerias in each city join free as founding partners. After that there is a one-time joining fee (AED 750 in the UAE, local equivalent elsewhere), refunded if you get no booking in your first 90 days, plus a commission on each booking. No monthly fee.
